Hi guys & girls

I'm doing an application where I draw a system of machinery components in Visio, connect them and then import into the application to do a performance simulation and calculation of that system. Visio provide a convenient way of drawing these systems, so I don't have to do a complex graphical interface.

So, I've imported the visio document and can run through the shapes. In the connect structures that I can find in each shapes Connects or FromConnects (depending on if they are 'Dynamic connections' or not) I have found that I can determine what other shape these shapes are connected to. That is in the index property of the connect structure that refers to the page's Shapes list.

But I'd like to know exactly WHAT connection point on the shape, that is used in the connection... Is that available ? I don't seem to see it... But I guess since the connection is in the right place when re-opening the document, the info is there somehow...

It's very important to me how these components are connected. Like knowing if someone put gasoline or windscreen fluid in the cars gas tank...

TIA

What I have tried:

Tried reading documentation :-)
Tried importing a lot of different Visio documents to find out how that connection is represented - no luck
