You want to convert a vb non-web app to vb.net, but what you really want is a C# web app? Like others have said, start over. I doubt very much that even the business logic can be re-used.

Thanks for your reply.
I just need to know the basic way that help me to convert VB6 to VB.NET. If have any case study or approach please share with me. or you have any utility like take .VB file as input and convert it to Vb.Net.

Don't. Listen to your peers, migration is rarely beneficial as you end up taking baggage you really don't need along on the ride.

Exactly - rewrite it and take the opportunity to introduce brand new, exciting, never-seen-before bugs!

To avoid years of endless pain, I would recommend that you rewrite it in C# or C++.
|
|
|
|
|
Or, if years of endless pain is the preferred option, I'd recommend rewriting it in Java.

So, scrap what you've got and rewrite it from scratch in C# with ASP.NET or ASP.NET/MVC.
What's stopping you from doing that?
There really isn't any reference for a conversion from the old VBs.

Can you really be a complete idiot if you're missing a few pieces?
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Among the revelations [...] there was the case of the DeCinque twins from Perth.
How are these two special? They have undergone cosmetic surgery to look more identical. Okay, weird but not too bad. They share everything including a bed. Getting odd now.

Really, you should heap Kudos upon them what be down under.
After all, if they didn't have this to their credit, someone else would have to take their place. Sure, in the states we have Texass. Across the Atlantic, of course, you've the entire Euro-Zone (specifically France) but basically, they've lighted the burden on your shoulders.
So stand up - lift a pint - and thank them for their services in this regard.

I've had enough of it. In case anyone else is enduring it up to this point, the solution is to disable JavaScript for MSDN pages. For FireFox I'm now using the addon "YesScript" for that and it works great, pages load as fast as before MS elephanted it up.

You can do it directly in Chrome:
"Settings"..."Show advanced settings..."
"Privacy...Content settings..."
"Javascript...Manage exceptions..."
Add "msdn.microsoft.com" and set "Behavior" to "Block"
Press "Done" twice.
But I don't notice any difference - it doesn't seem dramatically slow to load to me even with JS enabled:

Maybe it was in conjunction with FireFox, which of course, MS didn't care to test. Though I think I checked it with IE 11 some time ago and it was the same delay (~8 seconds).
