Let's clarify a bit. NO hardware is required to have serial numbers on it.

MAC addresses are NOT globally unique. The first three bytes of the MAC are the vendor identifier, which are used to id the vendor that made the adapter and maybe a product line. The last 3 bytes are the "serial number", but since that's only 3 bytes (a range of 16.7 million values,) it is entirely possible to have multiple adapters with the same MAC. You just can't have more than one copy of a MAC address on a network segment.

Oh, and nobody needs to "hack" a MAC address. There are network cards out there, or more specifically, their drivers, that will let you change the MAC address to whatever you need to avoid collisions with other cards.

The 500 error means either you're sending data to the controller in the wrong format, in the wrong place in the request so that it couldn't be parsed on the server side, or your server side code crashed for some reason.

Looking at the bottom of what you posted, it seems you should be sending a value for "idunidad", but either that value doesn't exist, or isn't being handled correctly in your controller method: "ListarIntegrantesUnidad", "Mantenedor".

Also, the OP never mentions it, but it is entirely possible the executables must be run synchronously and do not support being run at the same time.

SELECT * returns every column in a table(s), even the ones you may not need. This increases the load on the SQL server and needlessly increases the amount of data coming back from the database.

Next, the columns returned may not be in the order you expect, so code that uses index numbers to identify columns is easily broken when you start adding/removing columns from tables.

You're right about .Value. It's not needed. I've been spending a lot of time doing my work in ORMs and WMI lately so I forgot the database Reader syntax. Whoops!

Sure, it works fine on your dev machine with a single user. The instant you get two users launching that code at the same time, Office will fail. Office interop does not support re-entrancy, or more than one thread using the library at the same time. The code will crash and you'll get problem reports from the users that you will not be able to replicate.

Using COM-interop is out of the question. You'll have to use a library dedicated to manipulating Excel files, like OpenXML, ClosedXML, or similar.

You would be much better off asking your customer what else is running on this production SQL server. The server is taking up the memory it needs to support whatever else it's doing, possibly outside of the work of your application.

One of the production SQL Servers I run works on 8GB of RAM for months at a time and it only takes about 3 to 4GB of RAM the entire time it's running, for a database that's about 14GB.

There's more running on your customers server than you know about.

There's no easy way to do this that isn't either complex to setup and code or to just do manually.

I did this a couple years ago at work, where the website is setup with Exchange Online and permissions to impersonate the user using the site. All email operations are done in the site, including manually attachments. The site then saves the entire email "context" in the database and a service comes by once a minute to check for stuff it needs to send. If there is, the service can impersonate the person that sent the email or just use its own account the send emails for stuff like notifications and other site events.

If you're going to use a third-party server, like Exchange, you are bound by their terms of service. If they say you cannot use the server for mass emails, you can't use their servers. It's that simple.

You're getting Bad Request because what you're sending in your request, or NOT sending, isn't valid as far as the server is concerned.

For example, you could be missing a header the server is expecting, or sending a header value that isn't valid. You could be requesting a POST on a method that doesn't accept POST, you could be passing a return content type the server doesn't support, ...

As a side, if you create a HttpWebRequest object passing in a URI, you do not need to set the Host property on it.

The first problem you're going to find is that USB DeviceId is not as unique as you seem to think it is. That string after the last \ character can be generated by Windows when the device is inserted. Most USB sticks will not include their serial number, if they even have one, in their DeviceId strings, so Windows will generate a random string, which can and will be different from machine to machine for the exact same stick.
